Hey... Thanks! We've all heard of Thanksgiving. Most of my readers will celebrate Thanksgiving, this Thursday, November 24th, 2017. Myself, included. I'll be in Seattle, enjoying turkey with family. Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States of America on the 4th Thursday of November. As a US Citizen, it's the day I celebrate Thanksgiving, but my country isn't the only one with a Thanksgiving. Canada thanks things, too! Canada already had their Thanksgiving, though. (Canadians, bookmark ...

Feel Like a Quickie? The last two posts were so big and so motley, I’m going to try to make this one quick and to the point. That is to say that the topic is literally quick meals! I actually had a lot of fun making this one. I always enjoy getting my hands dirty, but this time I timed myself. I challenged myself. I literally pulled together the ingredients I needed, then timed myself while I prepped and cooked. The goal? Complete these recipes in 15 minutes or less. Two of them took me about...

Batch Cooking, Y'all! Wow! My last post got LOADS of attention. People loved the detail, story, and menu plan in my previous post. If you didn't read it, take a gander. It's all about batch cooking. The idea being, you cook 10, 20, 30, 40 or even more meals, all in a quick one to two-day session. Cook enough food for a month, then package, stash, relax, and enjoy over the next month. Then, do it again! It also included a story of friend whose lifestyle changed as the result of doing just such ...

It works. It really does! I really wished I’d been paying closer attention when I set up a little starter system for my friend, Karina. It wasn’t ever intended to be blog fodder. I don't have photos of the magic. I have very few notes. It was just a friend, helping another friend. However, it’s impossible to ignore what happened after I did. She is now about half her original size... and all kinds of happy, energetic and enthusiastic. I think it’s important to discuss what we did! However, bef...

There's Always Room for Jell-O

I recently wrote a fun and informative book on grain-free and sugar-free quick breads. While there’s a lot of variety within those pages, I wanted to go a step deeper into the kinds of things that can be done with a very basic little sheet of cake or a couple of banana bread croutons. Why not soak them all in Jell-O!?   I think Jell-O might be one of the strangest common foodstuffs. On the surface, it’s this incredibly fun and colorful dessert, the bright spot of many childhood dinners. Jell-...

Hi there!  Remember me?  It’s time to start blogging, again.  I’ve really missed it!  For those of you wondering who or what I am, I’m a blogger stumbling through the English language sharing a way of eating I call “Low-Primal”.  At some point, you signed up for my nonsense.  I write and share healthy and tasty recipes.  Ringing any bells?  Yep, that’s me! I discuss things low-carb, grain-free, and I do not fear fat.  I dropped about 150 lbs. by adopting this lifestyle.  I even wrote a boo...
